Mozart complete recordingAfter years of intensive examination of Mozart's string quartet oeuvre, the Armida Quartet has now released a complete recording of the string quartets by W.A. Mozart. The CD box set has been released by the label CAvi Music and is the culmination of a productive cooperation with G.Henle Verlag and the quartet's own concert series Mozart Exploded.
Reviews"In the second part of the Mozart complete recording, the young Armida Quartet again combines stylistically confident fidelity to the score with its own accents. This is what the state of the (Moz) art sounds like." (FonoForum Recommendation of the Month)
"a star hour of Mozart interpretation and quartet playing in general." (klassik-heute.de)
"...a rather bright and friendly tone prevails ... in the works recorded here - even in the Andante from the Quartet K. 575, in which cello and violin caress each other with the tenderness and sweetness of a love duet." (FonoForum) )
"Musically ravishing and sonically exemplary continuation of the complete recording of Mozart's quartets. The easy to grasp early works are also recommended to parents who want to introduce their children to classical music. Technically they are also attainable for amateur ensembles and offer a welcome repertoire expansion. Very clear buy recommendation, this is how Mozart should sound in the 21st century." (Klassik Heute - Recommendation)
"In the fourth installment of the complete recording, the Armida Quartet again reveals a great richness of facets. With fine nuances in sound, dynamics and articulation, the ensemble enlivens the music." (FonoForum - Recommendation of the Month)
